Carluccio’s is bringing the seasonal flavours of the Mediterranean to the menu, with marinated cannellini beans with flaked tuna and spring onion on grilled ciabatta bread, and Spinach and smoked mozzarella filled Arancini among many others. Stand-out dishes include the new Langoustine Fettucce pasta with mussels and cherry tomatoes in a white wine, tomato and chilli sauce topped with pistachios and the Swordfish Muddica steak in herb and parmesan breadcrumbs with courgette, rocket and Parmigiano Reggiano. Carluccio’s popular picnics are back, including new for this year, a totally plant-powered offering. Take to the park, a family outing, outdoor festival or concert – in fact, any al fresco spot you can find. Both the Classic and Plant Power picnics are filled to the brim with delicious, freshly prepared Italian dishes, made from recipes adhering to Antonio Carluccio’s ‘MOF MOF’ food philosophy, minimum of fuss, maximum of flavour. An individual Kid’s Picnic, priced at just £10, comes with grissini bread sticks, carrot, cucumber and celery sticks with tomato and basil dip; and meatballs in tomato sauce. Happy Mushroom Season
Whether you prefer them in sauces, sautéed on toast or with a comforting risotto, the strengths and subtleties of mushrooms have been championed in Italian cooking for centuries. From September through to November, Carluccio’s will be celebrating the mushroom season with a special range of artisan deli products, and a specials menu enriched by treasures from the Antonio Carluccio’s book “The Quiet Hunt.”
